We'll be touring Italy, Austria, and Germany in our rental Volvo for the next 10 days with stops in Venice, Salzburg, Munich, Berchtesgaden, Neuschwanstein, Dachau, Verona, and the highly recommended Cinque Terre. We're in search of waterfalls, castles, history, bratwursts, gondolas, Alps views, cooler temperatures, some local culture, and hopefully a lot of relaxation.

I can hardly wait! While in Venice...if you love glass...take a water taxi ride over to the little island of Murano. The glass is pricey, but small pieces make stunning jewelry! Try to get 'lost' while you are in Venice. (If you learn the secrets of the street signs...you can't get lost!) Look in Rick Steves book for the BEST GELATO! It really is yummy! And don't forget a gondola ride on the Grand Canal! You are gonna love it! Oh.....and don't miss the street artists!
