One of Jackson's many nicknames is Hungry Jack. He never turns down a meal and he eats each one as if it might be his last. We have yet to find a food he doesn't like from avocados to sweet potatoes to quinoa to salmon to lemons. He's a human vacuum who slurps down food faster than I can prepare it and I'm pretty sure he eats as much as Dan and I combined. But for a kid who's grown 2 inches and gained only 2 ounces in the last 3 months, food is fuel and his growing body needs a lot of it!
During her visit, my mom got to see firsthand what a good eater her grandson has become. And for me, it was sooooooo nice to have her help at mealtimes!Meals around here are getting messier by the minute, but we're working on manners already. With almost zero patience, Jackson has a tendency to growl like a hungry lion while he's waiting for his next bite of food so Dan taught Jackson to say please. Well...kind of. He says "p-p-p" because Dan was trying to teach him by saying "p-p-please" and it was the "p-p-p" part of the word that stuck with him. It's pretty cute. We caught it on video.
