Roy G. Biv: The Color-A-Day Project

Well, we just wrapped up Phase 1 of a fun, family project. Even though Jackson knows his colors, I had wanted to try out a color-themed project with him and decided that the perfect time to do it would be while my Mom is in town visiting us.

Over the span of six days, we explored "Roy G. Biv" (minus the I since what almost-2-year-old needs to know the distinction between indigo and violet.

Each morning I introduced the Color of the Day and all day long we played with that color. We wore clothing that color, we ate things that color, we painted or played with play-dough that color, we took pictures of things that color. You name it, we did it! From the color of the bath water to the color of our dinner, we tip-toed from one end of the rainbow to the other.

Here's a photographic journal of our adventure:
Day 1: Red Day.

Day 2: Orange Day.
Day 3: Yellow Day.

Day 4: Green Day.

Day 5: Blue Day.

 Day 6: Purple Day.

The project was a lot of fun and Phase 2 will resume after Jackson's 2nd birthday festivities have wrapped up. That phase includes black, white, pink, and brown.
