1-year-old Jackson

We may have thought 9-month-old Jackson and 10-month-old Jackson and 11-month-old Jackson were pretty fun but 1-year-old Jackson has brought fun to a whole new level of entertainment and laughter. This little guy makes us smile bigger and laugh harder with each new word, sound effect, and learned skill.

His favorite things these days include (but are not exclusive to) the following:

He likes to eat dirt/sand by the handful. Disgusting! He likes to make animal noises. Aunt Julie taught him how to roar like a lion. Here's the [blurry] footage:

(He also makes monkey noises and chomps his chompers like an alligator.)

He likes to eat...a LOT!He likes to jam with his Fisher Price musical instruments and listen to his daddy play guitar. He likes to wave to everyone, everywhere! When I take him to the grocery store, he waves to everyone he sees and smiles at them as if thanking them for coming to the store to see him.
He's also a bigger flirt than ever. While I'm pushing the shopping cart, he'll actually push me out of his way so that he can flirt at the pretty lady shopping behind me. Then when she says how cute he is he'll duck his head down and pretend to be shy for a second before he looks back with an even bigger smile, ready for more compliments. Shameless! He loves applause. And if no one is clapping for him, he'll clap for himself - although, his version of clapping looks more like he's brushing dirt from his hands.

And he still likes trouble. Getting into cabinets or anything else that's off limits is a favorite past time and it keeps us on our toes 100% of the time.Thank you, God, for 365 days with this very fun and sweet little boy.
